Batik Singapore - Studio Gypsied Canvas

Collaborating again with conscious studio Gypsied, we present Gypsied Canvas. The idea is simple: the intersection of culture and identity in modern times, breathing new life into batik and handwoven textiles. Have a look at these exquisite pieces of handmade Batik. Our favourite: Cenderawasih, The Magical

In the easternmost province of the Indonesian archipelago lies an untouched and thriving island full of magical flora and fauna called Papua. Here too lies Cenderawasih (the Bird of Paradise), a species native to this idyllic island.

It was once thought to be a mythical animal from the heavens for its unspeakable beauty and colour, with majestic feathers in colours that can only be found in nature — an ombre of blues, yellows, reds and greens. Here, the bird is given a Javanese spin in naturally dyed sogan brown and indigo with vines and flowers in between. Eight birds – drawn with careful detail and precision – fill the entire span of thise batik. This is one for the ages.

Singapore Portrait Photographer - Forbes Asia - Zilingo

Forbes Asia commissioned us to photograph the dynamic Ankiti Bose, co-founder of Zilingo – an online marketplace for small merchants operating largely in Southeast Asia. The numbers are impressive: in February 2019, they received $226 million in funding from investors, including Sequoia, Burda Principal and Temasek Holdings in a deal that valued Zilingo at $970 million. Look forward to bigger things from Ankiti and team.

Corporate Photographer - Temasek Foundation International – Annual Report

Our studio recently photographed the cover and immediate inside pages of the 2018 Temasek International Foundation Annual Report. We worked with some of the brightest minds from all over Asia who were patient enough with us as we created a vision in line with the title of the book, ‘Future Forward’. Big thanks to Caroline, Junming, Shu Yun from Sunda Press and Paolo from Parabole.

Youths from Asia gather at The Hanger, National University of Singapore, to learn more about entrepreneurship. Temasek Foundation International supports such programmes to encourage social and cultural interactions among youths in the region.
