What should I wear for a corporate headshot in Singapore?

Solid colours in muted, mid-tones — navy, charcoal, forest green, burgundy — work consistently well under studio lighting. Avoid fine patterns, logos, and anything with strong reflective elements. Bring two outfit options for flexibility. For Singapore's climate specifically, choose natural fibres such as linen blends, cotton, or fine wool that breathe well and don't hold humidity visibly.

How long does a corporate portrait session take in Singapore?

A standard corporate portrait session at Zainal & Zainal Studio runs 60 to 90 minutes, including settling time, multiple outfit changes, and reviewing selects together. Rushed sessions produce rushed results — avoid booking on a day when you need to leave immediately after.

How much does a professional corporate headshot cost in Singapore?

Professional corporate portrait sessions in Singapore typically range from SGD 300 to SGD 800 and above, depending on the studio, session length, and number of final images delivered. The right question isn't which studio is cheapest — it's which studio's portfolio matches the professional register you're trying to project.

Do I need professional hair and makeup for a corporate portrait session?

It depends on your comfort level and industry. For women, professional makeup calibrated for studio lighting makes a visible difference — studio lights wash out colour, so everyday makeup reads as bare on camera. For men, a professional shave or beard trim the morning of the session is worth it. The goal is to look like the best version of yourself, not a different person. Minimal retouching in post-production keeps your portrait authentic.

What if I'm nervous or uncomfortable in front of the camera?

Camera anxiety is more common than most people admit, including among senior executives. A skilled photographer will spend the opening minutes helping you settle — through conversation, by showing you early frames, and by giving specific direction rather than just pointing and shooting. To prepare yourself: practice your confident but approachable expression in the mirror for ten minutes before you arrive. That simple step shortens the warm-up significantly and gives you something concrete to return to when you feel stiff.

What is the best time of day to book a corporate portrait session in Singapore?

Morning sessions consistently produce better results in Singapore's climate. You arrive fresher, the humidity is more manageable, and you're not carrying the fatigue of a full working day on your face. Late afternoon sessions — particularly after a demanding day at the office — tend to produce noticeably more tired-looking results.
